Kelly Gallagher is a filmmaker and animator from the Philadelphia area. Her films have screened internationally at venues such as: the Ann Arbor Film Festival, Anthology Film Archives, ICA Artists’ Film Biennial, Bryn Mawr Film Institute, San Francisco’s Other Cinema, Women’s Film Institute, Northwest Film Forum, London Hackney Picturehouse, Italy’s Lucca Film Festival and the Berlin Mobile Kino. She is the recipient of the 2014 Helen Hill Award presented by Indie Grits. She has presented her research on the revolutionary potential of video at Yale University. Her films and research continually seek to explore the radical and revolutionary potential of film/video and the exciting, political possibilities of handcrafted cinema.
