Juliette Liautaud was born in 1987 in Marseille, France.

After studying literature and visual arts at university in Paris, she graduated from the Fine Arts School Villa Arson in Nice in 2015.

13-Juliette-Liautaud-Kapr---Scales She works with different medias such as photography, film, video, sound, installation and makes experimental music.

Her films have been showed in various experimental festivals across England, United States and Canada (Altered States, Experiments in cinema, Another Experiment by women at Anthology Film Archives, Montreal Underground Film Festival) and her work was shown in several exhibitions in France and Czech Republic.

She co-runs the independent publisher STEREOEDITIONS which focuses on artist books, films and music, and play in the experimental film and music project EST with Helena Gouveia Monteiro since 2016.

The film portrays the reality of forced disappearances in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) through two perspectives: that of the domestic worker Sandra searching for her missing son Leandro; and that of state agents who deal with the many disappearance cases that arrive at police stations every day, in a city largely occupied by armed groups. The film is almost done, and the fundraiser is to cover the very final expenses.
